The road down to Homer is designated a scenic highway, and it’s well deserved. The views were gorgeous in every direction. We didn’t stop to gawk though, because we wanted to get into Mariners park, a city RV campground that Pam and Dave had told us about. So we are parked looking out in the Cook Inlet (lots of horizon out there just to be a mere inlet!) and I’m watching the tide come in. Another stunning out-the-front-window view.

We checked out the spit, had fish and chips (yummy!) and stopped in the Visitors’ Center to get all the info on things to do in Homer. We may be here a while.
