Not much to report for today. We had contemplated spending a second night at the park we were in last night, but the trails were closed because of beetle infestation and the risk of falling trees, and the mosquitoes were sufficiently voracious that we wouldn’t have had much interest in hanging out there anyway, so we gave ourselves a short day and came the 70 miles up the road to Prince George. We made the stop at the visitor center, and cruised through the rail and forestry museum, but this is basically a down day for us.
One thing we can’t complain about is the weather. There’s not a cloud in the sky and the temperature is in the mid-80’s. The people here say they had snow two weeks ago. The warm sunshine is much better.
