Yesterday was our “get ready to move” day – cleaning, laundry, shopping. Today we drove up to Creede, up in the mountains. It is lovely and cool here. Creede was a major mining area during the 1800’s and there are still lots of active and inactive mines in the surrounding mountains. We are staying at an RV resort - that word usually means too high priced for our blood, but this one is reasonable. What it does have is the resort attitude, complete with lots and lots of Roolz. We’re moving up the mountain to a forest service camp in a couple of days. There’s plenty to see and do here, so we’ll hang around for a while.
